INSPIRED BY PATTERNS LEFT IN THE SAND WHEN THE TIDE RECEDES, THIS BEAUTIFUL PORCELAIN VASE IS A BEAUTIFUL ADDITION TO ANY HOME.
Handcrafted in Ardmore, Co. Waterford on the potter's wheel, there is no surprise why the sea is an inspiring factor for Iona.
The vases are decorated with a panel of thickened slip applied by hand to create the movement of the waves. The glaze is very fluid and pools in the textured areas, adding depth. The deep turquoise and the movement of the slip brings to mind tranquil waters.

ABOUT IONA CERAMICS
Iona Ceramics create beautiful Irish handmade tableware, specialising in bespoke restaurant and home ware. Designed specifically for chef Ian Doyle of the Michelin-starred House Restaurant at Cliff House Hotel.
Most of Iona's work is thrown on a potters wheel from stoneware clay. After a few days the piece will be bone dry and then is sponged down to remove any fingerprints. The work is then biscuit fired in an electric kiln to roughly 1000 degrees C, after which it is glazed. Iona makes her own glazes and does her own glaze research.
An exquisite selection of carefully curated gift boxes and hampers from some of the country’s finest artisan makers and lots of delicious house-made treats and festive foods created by the chefs at CLIFF
